What an exciting moment it is when you realize what Jesus Christ has done for you in paying the price for your sins and giving you this chance for new life. And when you’ve made the decision to accept that forgiveness and commit your life to following Jesus, we think it’s worth celebrating. Since the very beginning of the Christian Church, people have demonstrated outwardly the life-change that had already happened inwardly through water baptism. This isn’t some magical thing you do to become saved from your sins. And it’s not a prerequisite for admission into heaven. But it is something Jesus talked about (Matthew 28:19-20) and thought was important. And it’s a chance for God to get the credit He deserves for the work He’s done in your story and for those in the church to celebrate this story with you!
